What should I add to this small "man cave/game room"?

Space is obviously limited, foosball takes up a significant portion. I was thinking maybe a bar table by the window with two bar seats there and perhaps two more maybe facing towards the foosball and pinball table against the wall. Perhaps a TV above foosball?

It doesn't look like there will be enough room for the table you like. Plus that window is in a bit of a cubby so it would feel very closed off sitting there. can the pinball machine go in the window area or on the other side of the door facing the window?

Eyeballing the space, it doesn't even appear to be big enough for what you want to do but that may only because you have the corner cut off. Blue tape it out on the floor including the chairs when they are pulled out and see if this could be a reality. Would the pinball machine fit in the window area, then the foosball where the pinball was and then a table and chairs where the foosball was and a TV on that wall above the table. Otherwise just get a couple of bar stools and a couple of small tables and call it good as do you really need a big table?

I think a rug either under the dining table or with the seating and coffee table would help. The biggest issue I see is that your wall hung items are too high. The 3 pieces at the dining area should have their center point 5' above the floor and should be one hand's width apart. The shelves are putting your displays above the lamps, so they need to be lowered as well. I also advise grouping items in threes, rather than marching them across the shelves like soldiers.

Should I carve up a huge family room to add a small bedroom?

Post a floor plan. It could either add value or subtract it. It depends on if it 'looks' like you carved out a section of the family room for a bedroom or if the new bedroom and family room fits with the house plan.

If you do the painting, match it either to the roof or the garage so they related to each other. If you're going to buy a tree, got to a small garden center with a photograph of your front yard and ask them to suggest a simple design you can implement for the tree and possibly future native plants, hardscaping or ground cover. It's such a small area, you could really do something great with it for not too much $$$. Good luck!

Ok, no problem! How about a setup like this? (With furniture and art that is your style.) Find a plant that could tolerate some heat from the baseboard, such as a jade plant: Or a skinny table instead of a plant stand. Not necessarily these styles below, but something with an airy design, with legs that could fit around the baseboard so it will let heat pass through. Put a couple of knicknacks on it, and find a medium piece of framed art for above.

Agree, if you're set on the layout and can't move them just get some small bar stools up against the empty wall and maybe some small floating shelves between them to put your drinks on. Mount the tv above the foosball table and put a console table or some skinny piece of furniture in front of the window to balance out the closet and it will give you extra space to put snacks or even a mini fridge under it.

What's in the closet? How about a mini bar tucked in there? Seems like there ought to be seating of some sort....bench against the wall or under the window?
