We only have one sink in the full bath, but it was very recently redone and I clean the counter frequently to keep the water spots off, so I'm fairly familiar with what we get wet :-). Plenty of counter space, but very limited wet area unless DH shaves. I also know our floor and wall in the half bath don't really get wet, and it's mostly sink. If you have a few days to think, just clean the counters tonight and see where you get water over the next few days. Or put down some masking tape and see if it's in the line of fire. If there's a rule of thumb for this, i'm sure someone with expertise will come along with it!

I was told by two countertop companies that you need professional equipment to do any kind of curved edge, IOW it is not for the DIY person. I have laminate countertops with wood edging. When I was pricing new laminate countertops, I got prices all over the board. I had considered just relaminating the countertops (leaving the wood edge) but I had one company tell me that it would cost more than installed new counters (with new substrate) b/c of the labor involved. So I don't mean to sound discouraging but it doesn't sound like relaminating the waterfall counters would be a great project. I am still trying to decide what to do for my own kitchen. I may do laminate on the perimeter and granite/quartz on the island.

Sorry, no pics, but I am getting the waterfall edge on my island. I'm not doing it on my other counters. My counters are still to be templated. Its been forever! One thing I want to mention is if you have a cooktop this could cause a problem. The waterfall edge takes away from solid space and can cause the top to be too short for MANY cooktops. A beveled or full bullnose can be a problem with some cooktops. Mine will have the standard edge with a slight rounding at the corners.

desertsteph - thank you. I do think the counter top would look great with bisque. It looks really good with the stainless range top too - next to the stainless the grey pops. I got lights in the kitchen today and I can't get over how much I love the CT. I just keep saying - OMG, I can't believe that is mine (and I thought I was going to really miss my work horse white Formica!) Thanks Texas_Gem. One step closer!!! I m sooo ready to be done!
