Almost any color floor can work with oak trim.

However, trim should be chosen to work with the floor, not the other way around.

We would need more information about your space as it currently exists, your goals, and your budget. Do you want wood, tile, carpet, LVP, laminate? How many square feet? Pets? Children?

Uh... some kind of oak? What color are the walls? What is the finish on the trim? When you say trim is all oak, do you mean just baseboards, or do you mean window frames as well? Photos help.

Do you have any desire to, at some point, paint this trim (if it is indeed builder grade honey oak trim from 30 years ago?) if so, then pick the flooring you would like to have.

If you love the honey oak and want to keep it, then get white oak flooring in a natural color, or something a bit darker, like they show here:

What I advise people to do who have those awful oak baseboards, is removed them when they do their flooring and have the newer baseboards set on top of the new flooring. This way you won't have to have the shoe molding installed next to your current baseboards to hide the gap of the new flooring. mkay?

Shoe molding looks like this, but on yours the baseboards would be the oak color. If you plan on painting them, then remove them BEFORE the new flooring goes in so you can avoid this extra piece of molding!

It's not that much more to do new baseboards. (even less if you choose to paint them yourselves. they come primed white, so you can live w/them while you slowly paint)
