Teas and Chinas order/Peggy Martin rose
Comments (3)Let me add a quick note for anyone who wonders at the heat and drought tolerance of the Peggy Martin rose. I bought two early summer, one for a friend. I planted mine where I had lost a big wonderful tea to RRD. This planting was when our drought was fully entrenched. We did have some rain in mid July, but have had less than a quarter of an inch in all of August and we've been hesitant to use our well for watering roses for more than minimal keep alive levels. Peggy Martin grows in these horrible conditions. And she grows very well and her leaves are beautiful and green. And beautiful and green leaves are cherished this summer in a landscape that looks like the high plains in September. Peggy Martin will be trained along some of the wrought iron railing from our place in the French Quarter. (We redid the exterior stairway in the courtyard and had olde railings left over). It fits, I think....See MoreBig teas and chinas
Comments (17)I've grown or cared for dozens of different Tea rose cultivars and although I can detect smell in Tea roses, there are very few I would describe as being very fragrant, and that in the best of conditions. These are they: 'Etoile de Lyon' described as having a "delicious scent" by one author. Its' scent reminds me of honeysuckle. We keep it espaliered to c. 5 and 1/2 feet tall by 6 feet wide, by c. 3 feet from front to back. 'Comtesse Emmeline de Guigne' 4-5' scent: of ripe plum and apricot fruit with mixed floral. Westside Road Cream Tea' a wonderful white Tea, it matures to c. 4 and 1/2 feet tall and of all Tea roses has the most dependable scent, which I would rate as 5 out of 10. I really love the scent of this rose. Rogue valley rose nursery sells it. It is a "lost and found" rose, that was found by Phillip Robinson of vintagegardens.com in Northern California. It is far more resistant to p.m. than Ducher was in my no-spray garden. For a Damask scent (the scent one expects from a red modern rose) I suggest a Tea-Hybrid; Mlle. Cecille Brunner' which is a cross between an Old Garden Tea and a Polyantha. Easily kept to 4 and 1/2 feet tall by c. 3 and 1/2 feet wide. It is a very pretty pink rose with small but perfectly shaped blossoms. Spray Cecille Brunner' can be used as a hedge, of 3-4 feet tall by 2 feet wide, by c. 6 feet long and it has a longer bloom cycle than the original form of M.C.B. or its climbing forms. A neighbor of mine has made a hedge border from one 'Spray Cecille Brunner and I love walking by and inhaling the rosy perfume from it. . Lux...See MoreOrdering cabinets direct from China (repost)
Comments (80)Mark took responsibility for his minor mistakes and had a good experience. He ended up feeling good and believing he had made a good decision. He had done a lot of research before deciding to work with VOVO. He is pleased with his new kitchen, in the way a balanced individual is pleased. Notably, he didn't say it was the best business decision he had ever made in his life. He would have sounded overly-excitable and discredited himself if he had said that. Why did Mark have a good experience whereas a client who ordered from VOVO after learning of his success here on this page did not? There are many possibilities. He didn't blame VIVO for things that weren't their fault. He took control of his installation and was able to make adjustments as needed when the unexpected occurred. He maintained a positive relationship with VOVO from start to finish. I believe that I can have a good experience with the company, similar to Mark's....See MoreAlibaba shopping
Comments (7)I did order a shirt for my daughter from them once. Looked for that shirt all over the Internet and this was the only option. I had to register, no checkout as guest. As far as I remember I also had to log in to confirm when they were shipping. Package arrived after about 3 weeks with China post. I ordered a size L for my Size 4 daughter. The shirt itself fit, but there was no way she could wear it since the sleeves were so tight. I didn't bother trying to return for the 20 dollars it was worth. Don't know what you want to order, but be careful with clothes in Asian sizes....See MoreWindow Genius
