Is the vanity in an alcove? If so, mirror the entire alcove and have the glass company cut the mirror for mounted sconces on the mirror. You could also do this if there's no adjacent walls or one wall, and you may have to. You have 38" to fit a mirror and two sconces (countertop overhangs an inch or so). I would want at least 3" between the sconce shade and mirror and the sconce and the wall, so 3" + 3" + width of sconce. I have a 24" mirror over a 36" vanity, which is a fine size for the mirror, but that leaves only 7" for a sconce between the mirror and wall. If you used a smaller than 24" mirror, the sconces might be too close together. I read that 30" - 36" is the optimal spacing for sconces. I always draw this stuff up on graph paper to check spacing and proportions.

you could do lots of types. personally I would do something w/sconces since you only have the one sink. or just do a full size mirror (a little bit smaller than the vanity length) or round again, something w/lights. that wall is awfully bare. what else are you doing on it? anything above the toilet? wallpaper, art, sconces,,,,

@tartanmeup Yes, I decided to go with the black pencil molding, just like in the photo above. I love it! I just got back from HD. I will install it asap, that is my project for tomorrow if I can find the time. Today I am in the thick of working on my sink. This weekend I am the pretend plumber. I removed the sink from the wall a few days ago and changed the faucet, but the hot water knob will not lock in place, so I purchased a different faucet. The new faucet is for a single hole sink, and the hole isn't big enough. I am trying to increase the size slightly. The problem is I have no idea what I am doing! Thank God for YT. Also, I am in love with a tp holder I came across on Amazon but it cost $100. That seems outrageous for tp imo, or maybe I am just cheap. To me, that just looks like a roll of tp on top of a candlestick right? I might try to make a knockoff myself. Wish me luck!

Hi, deb - Glad that helps! I like the etagere to go higher than the vanity, and it would look nice with a plant on the top shelf. A plant, by itself, looks fine too, the bigger the better IMO.
