Comments (5)The back of the house faces southwest. For ten months of the year I like having the light streaming in the windows, but for two months of the year it would be nice to block it out! As for the WTs, I don't like the aluminum blinds enough to put them on the other windows. I'd rather go without! I had to go and look for pictures of the back of the house. Comments (8)Your look will be contemporary with the Italian leather sofa so the simple-lined roller shades are exactly the right solution for your privacy needs and for the fireplace window. I think it would look too heavy with bamboo, even in the light colours. A roman shade would look odd over the roller shade. It would look like a valance. IMO the wood framing around your windows is OK but nothing special and it's not a big deal that it is hidden when the blinds are closed. It looks a little bare because your furniture is not in it yet. Adding a drape to just one of the windows will be fine if you want to, but don't do it before you have your wall art, furniture, rug etc. Your clean simple look is good for the living room windows....See MoreAnna Zdulska
