Let's go bridal this week with something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and then a pic of a bride or wedding.

Today is something borrowed.

Today is also national dog day.

Finished mystery puzzle I borrowed from my friend. Once you put the puzzle together, you read the story that goes with it and use the image to try to solve the murder.

Arch of Constantine, dedicated AD 315 I missed this yesterday, but I wanted to add some information regarding columns and piers: <A column is a freestanding round shaft. A square column is called a pier. When a round column is attached to a wall, it is called an engaged column; and when a pier is attached to a wall, it is called a pilaster.> (Note: Pilaster is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable.) I've seen other definitions online, but this is what I was taught in architecture class at UT, and it is also the definition in my History of Architecture book. I think that civil engineers may use different definitions from architects, however, and this can cause some confusion, but for architects, piers are square or rectangular and columns are round.

“roxsolid, I can't quit seeing your Ring of Sausage!!! I laugh every time I even think about it. Impressive!” 🤠 It is impressive. The town (Mundare) that it is in, is home to Stawnichy’s Sausage. The whole town smells like garlic sausage. It is in an area where a lot of Ukrainians settled back in the early 1900s. Not to be out done, several towns in the area have their own shrines. Glendon has a Perogy on a fork. Vilna has mushrooms Vegreville has a pysanky (Ukrainian Easter egg) There’s a bunch more, but you get the picture. (Not my pictures)
