why won't my ryobi ss30 start?

Jeanne Jones

I have a ryobi ss30, I have replaced all fuel lines, fuel filter, ignition module and still won't start. Cleaned carburetor and exhaust. Have spark now. I pull the cord and it tries to start but never does. The motor is making a slapping or popping sound i have not heard before. I have also tried spraying carb cleaner in carburetor and starting with same result. All gaskets look great, everything is tight but will not start. Help...
