Comments (15)Love, love, love Blue Mountains and Snow Crystal. I was able to view your pictures earlier, but for some reason I was not able to sign onto GW to post a response. Great photography. Thanks, Dot Ann...See MoreDaylily Photos (7)
Comments (12)Chris, SDC is my most photographed daylily. I have trouble getting good pics of it because it is light colored and the glare from the sun makes it look washed out. For every one you've seen I've taken hundreds that were lousy. So thank you for the compliment - it means a lot. :-) maryl, WISEST OF WIZARDS had a bad year last year due to thrips. So far it looks good this year and I hope it stays that way! Jan, Thanks! Two of my SDC clumps were eaten up with aphids before I even noticed. They both had to be cut back (thank goodness they left one clump alone). Keep an eye on yours. blue23rose, Thank you! I've been impressed with NICOLE CABRERA. Every flower has opened perfectly. I got it as a bonus last Fall. Jake, I like both of those because they clump up quickly and put on a good show. ladydonna, The color in the pic of GALAXY EXPLOSION is accurate. Mine is in full sun, so it fades a little by late afternoon (but not much). I prefer larger flowers, but it has stayed rust free since I planted it last year - so it's definitely a keeper. Rick, Thanks! EE is a looker - I like all the dark ones. Julia, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics! WISEST OF WIZARDS is also very fertile (if you're into hybridizing). fairysoapgirl, We'll be looking forward to seeing yours' soon! Kathy...See MoreBlooms from the last few days...
Comments (9)Ann - I DO love my garden right now. Not that it stops me from thinking about what it will be like when all these babies grow up to be clumpers! Create Your Dream is new this year, and boy oh boy is it showing off. I just really love it. Betsy - I am pretty new to teeth... and I think I am also getting some pretty good tenacles (like on SOT), but I keep getting the terminology confused. :o) Nancy - maybe when we do that daylily Mecca, we could swap! Jill & Chris - I really love Barn Owl too! I just got him this spring, and I was SO happy to get a few blooms... just so I could see. What is funny is, HE was the reason I ordered from Daylily Manor. But, I ended up with so many nice plants from them! Lrae - those seedlings are from a friend I made here, Ed (xokientx). They are from Joan Senior x SDLG. Beautiful, aren't they? As the day wears on, they only get whiter. I am trying a few crosses with them this year... so they will be incorporated into my program! :o) katladie - Ivory Finesse just moved into my yard about a week ago. I really love the purple/lavender edge... I can't wait to see her in action when a clump forms! I got it right from Jack Carpenter, and he pretty much gave me a mini clump... so next year should be a good one! Thanks Jan! But, I have to say... right back at ya! I enjoy your posts too... even if you do like red! :o) Here......See MoreBlooms From Last Few Days

ROSE FEVER is sure pretty in your garden. mine hasn't looked that good, yet and never a rebloom..but, its in the ground and th soil packs so hard in this heat. PURPLE HONEY CREEPER IS SO PRETTY, too. I don't care for crazy Ivan, but it seems to be a favorite with a lot of folks.PIRATE KING is very pretty, too. your blooms seems to just keep going on and on like the energizerBunny.
