A couple of pics on Wednesday

I did a quick walk around to see what was blooming since I haven't been able to do so in the last couple of days. So much still is blooming but these were a couple of repeats that I especially thought were photo worthy.

Concrete Blonde - Keeps on putting out the blooms. I usually would see it open flat but today, maybe with the cooler overnight temps, it seems to be showing a bit different. I believe it will bloom till mid August this year.

Kentucky Lucky - So many scapes and buds yet to open and also with a bit of color difference today.

Another that will continue into mid August if not later. I think it has pinkish tones after a cool overnight.

Filled To Overflowing - I missed the multi blooms yesterday as I had to take off some of the dead blooms. Lots of buds yet to open. Maybe its best year yet here. Probably will finish blooming mid August.

And Dearest Valentine opened with four blooms.Sorry about not getting the dead blooms off. The branching is quite intriguing so when It finishes in August, I'll show the scapes. I guess it didn't mind our overnight low temps.

Storms passing through here now and temps dropped down again about 10 degrees. Feels great.

I'll try to get more pics once I clean out the dead blooms and some of the weeds.

Filled to Overflowing looks grand, and how nice to still have that many buds to open. I've always admired Concrete Blonde when different forum member have posted it. Kentucky Lucky looks like it's doing well for you. The grubs got to mine last fall and it had short scapes and not many bus this time. I hope the Milky Spore I applied this year will keep the grubs away this year. Dearest Valentine looks great with four blooms, and I'm glad it didn't mind the cooler night temps. I'd love to see a photograph of the scapes after it finished blooming!

Love the colors on Kentucky Lucky. And what buds seem to be left on it and Filled to Overflowing! And that is a different look to Concrete Blond but the color is still great. Dearest Valentine has such a nice rich color for you.

Rita; Thank you.Thats the very first thing I go check each morning, is out to see WOIA and make sure its ok, and I get a watering can full of water for it,Its in a big pot, Forgot if its a 15 inch or a 18 inch pot, but, its a full pot.It has the thickest scapes on it,and I accidently knocked off 2 buds yesterday and was so mad at myself.Then after that,I go check my Hydrangea's and make sure the deer has not dined on it,I been keeping them sprayed with this stinky stuff to keep the deer from eating them.I can't smell this stuff after it drys, b ut the deer can. DEBRA,Thank you for looking and commenting.Those daylilies are both in pots.I seen several today thats planted and they dont look so good, so I am going to try and dig them back up and pot them up.This one,VICTORIA'S LACE almost died on me last year when I had it planted, and I dug it up and potted it, and the one sick fan grew to 2 healthy looking fans,and now I noticed it dont look like it will make it unless I dig it up and repot it again.But, I need to wait until I can go to wal mart and get a sack of their potting soil. I love the individual and clump shots idea! Lots of the flowers I love! Light of the World is also one of the favorites of mine (it looks ok in the evening but bad after the rain). Your plant is probably bigger, because mine is almost done. Also love the clump of Emperor's Choice! Love Winter Treasure and Black Eyed Bully. Well, I love all the daylilies :) My Frans Hals started (seems like) a long time ago, that's strange. Clematis is beautiful, especially Rebecca! I have Huldine too but it's damaged by the beetles :(

Thanks all for the comments. Well, the foliage is really turning ugly on some of the plants. I want to give them all a haircut but why waste my time when the foliage will soon be dying back anyway. I think all the extra rain we've gotten coupled with the cooler temps somehow is keeping the garden blooms going. I'll take whatever mother nature decides on - with respect to blooms ;-). Julia

I like that look on Concrete Blonde. Dearest Valentine is my very favorite I think, with Filled to Overflowing a close 2nd.

So many buds on Kentucky Lucky and Filled to Overflowing! FTO is still blooming here too but not a lot of buds left, but it's now darker like yours. I like the yellow color of Concrete Blonde. Beautiful color and edge on Dearest Valentine.
