Comments (10)No, but I have also noticed they are not much of a problem. They do chew small holes but there are not many of them most of the time to do a lot of damage. I am currently having a problem with cucumber beetles. They ruined much of my squash and cukes last year, and this year I see a few, but not as many. They are on my ground cherry plants. I actually had to break down and apply some sevin dust..(ugh, shuttering at the though)..but nothing else seems to work. Comments (5)How big was it? The sketch looks like it may have been a velvet ant, a type of wingless wasp. Has a nasty sting, so if you handled it and didn't get stung, we can safely assume that was not it. Check the link below for a picture. Colors may vary.
