I can see slipping a piece beneath the existing sheath for the two side windows, but how that doesn't prevent any water (that may come through) from not draining into the house..does that make sense? But they are considerably more expensive in a quality product for sure. the install is even more important as they operate in multiple manners which makes the proper install imperative. How or what you do to fix it will depend, the stucco if leaking around the window will need to be looked at as there may be considerable more water damage behind the stucco & drywall/plaster.
