I don’t think you would have to exactly match wood tones. As Sabrina Alfin mentioned above - you don’t necessarily want to be so matchy-matchy. You could use another wood, etc. - or if you went with walnut, it doesn’t necessarily have to match perfectly. You really don’t need to worry about that.

I understand. With these type of pieces the finishes do vary - and it’s not fun to have that, “we tried to match but didn’t“ look going on. That is one reason why my approach would lean toward finding an actual certified mid- century table and let the chips fall where they may.

From what I see of the West Elm table, I think I would be concerned, too. But these are pictures... and also being viewed through various devices, and there is no way to know for sure unless you are seeing the furniture pieces in person.

I tend to think something like this Birch with Walnut veneer top might work better with your chairs.
