Can I cut down my Ikea wall cabinets so they are only 12" deep?
Comments (37)Akimbo, those 8" cabinets are awesome! I am currently looking into installing an IKEA tall cabinet into my hallway linen closet to make it look like a built-in. We did a custom wardrobe in our old house with IKEA cabinets that turned out great. I love that IKEA's cabinets are so easy to modify (even though they have done everything to discourage it). The 2nd and third photos are the Kitchen we were working on when I asked you about the upper cabinet depth/microwave issue. We ended up using a spacer behind the microwave....See MoreI spy a bright white cabinet door at IKEA! Axstad matte white
Comments (62)@tee8 We just got this fridge for the remodel and it’s working great. We wanted the in-door ice and this model has that without making the left hand door feel too bulky. We had a standard depth side-by-side from the 90’s before buying this one. It only stuck out a few more inches but I think it makes the kitchen feel totally different to have everything flush. In the tight U layout, every inch counts. Space-wise I much prefer the top/bottom fridge! I have no idea if we gained or lost cubic foot storage but it feels like everything fits so much better....See Morehow to decorate these two walls which are on both side of the Arch
Comments (24)Very pretty house. I would do matching consoles but I would keep them very simple. These have some weight but are light. A matching pair of vertical art pieces to frame that nice hallway. Yes it’s a bit off center but if you do the consoles light to match the walls it will be less obvious. Hang the art in relation to the door opening. You want to highlight that and the pretty ironwork above which appears to be centered....See MoreWalls on each side of fireplace after mounting tv
Comments (6)Every spot doesn’t need filled. IMO of course. I like the tv where it is now, but set on a simple low corner stand. That way, the tv can be easily viewed from anywhere on the sectional. Sized and shaped like the one in the picture. Then I’d do away with the credenza currently in the right corner and instead set a side table at that end of the sectional. Get a few candles and some greenery for the mantel and you’re done....See MoreIg222
