Concept PVC Hoop-House and Bird Netting Container Garden
Comments (26)Anthony, Your garden looks great and it is neat to hear from another person in Fort Myers. If you do not mind me asking, where did you find the white bins? They seem to be a nice size for many plants. If you want some summer greens Echo has a nice assortment and some like Katuk and okinawah spinach can be grown as landscape bushes with little maintenance once established. Cabbage collards and Laciento kale can be grown all summer if you start them soon so they can get established before the summer heat....See MoreCherry tomatoes in a "CityGarden" container from Home Depot zone 6b
Comments (5)""planting shorter grown varieties..." Yeah, but what's the point? ;)" EBs are a novelty item. They were designed commercially for two determinate tomato plants and work well for that. That was the original purpose/point, to get more tomatoes and not fall down, and then to mass market this through a sales network. The point was not to grow indeterminates, but that won't stop us lol. Not sure I know the EB stakes (or CityGarden, which sounds like another EB "clone"). Is that the trellis EB stake to the sides with netting you want to stick on the CityGarden? Didn't think it was 5 feet tall. If you have that trellis design already and aren't buying new stuff, and it secures well, just use a combination by strapping a couple of bamboo poles to the horizontal support tube. Still 2D unless you bury them in opposite bottom edges making an X from a side view, but you'd have height and more stability. But JMO and I'm not really sure about the attachment of the EB stuff you mentioned to the CityGarden thing. Best PC...See MoreHow to organize 4 container bins for a Tiny House?
Comments (5)Only you know what is valuable to have on hand, for you. How could anyone here advise you as to that? It sounds intriguing to consider living with very little. I have had the experience of spending time in a small rented space that had only the essentials, and coming away from that time with a new understanding of how little we really need. Really, though, only you can make that decision and your priorities will probably make themselves clear as you experience living in your tiny house and as you define your lifestyle. Don't worry much on it. Things can always be rearranged, eliminated, or added as you see fit. It there is a hurricane of any magnitude coming your way you would be advised employ the "vehicle" part of your RV to get out of the way of the hurricane. It does make good sense for all of us to keep some emergency items ready to be picked up and taken no matter if you live in S Dakota or south Florida....See MoreConex storage container home in Florida
Comments (62)I ended up buying a 2004 mobile home 1993' sq/ft on 15 acres for $165,000. I had enough of living in the RV and houses started selling quick. I did buy a 40' HC connex that was sand blasted and painted for around $3500 back in Nov 2020. I called him Dec 2022 and now the same connex is around $5500. Everything is to expensive now versus 2020 when I was pricing everything out. If you do buy a mobile home understand that some are better then others. Mine I found out doesn't have any plywood under the vinyl siding, it just has some kind of foam board, I'm pretty upset. It would have been nice to buy one that has 6" external walls as well. It was harder then I thought to find insurance and a mortgage leander. They would only insure the home for $120,000 so eventually it might not be worth having insurance, maybe? At least I have a nice fiberglass 6 person storm shelter underground. My property has now double in price so I thought about having my mobile home moved to the front 4 acres and selling it off for around $165,000 and then building a small stick home later in 2024 or when prices come down some. I'll have to do all the work since contractors are hard to find in North Florida. I called 3 electrician and had them put me on the schedule over a year ago to set up a generator to my circuit breaker and believe it or not none of the 3 ever came. So they either lie to you or don't come....See MoreHU-245940585
