to all my rose friends and family a happy and safe fourth of july! Safe from fire, safe from contagion. I do think that America is one of the best experiments (hu)mankind has ever started. Its worth celebrating and remembering who we are and what we value as a people.

And to all my friends in other countries we celebrate and treasure your friendship too!

Thank you for your positivity and good wishes. Thanks to all who went before us who put their lives on the line for freedom and equal opportunity. May we keep sight of the good as we try to build on it.

Last night my dogs were greatly bothered by some fireworks outside and I expect they'll be bothered again tonight.

Happy 4th of July!!

We normally don't do much but we have Azalea's brothers coming over so we decided to make it really fun for them. I bought a spinning teeter toter, we filled up the pool ( between kiddie and adult size ) got bubbles and even a handful of fireworks.

And of course hot dogs and ice cream.

Even though no fireworks display I want the kids to still have special memories of the 4th of July.

Thank you to every person who has been a part of our freedom.

Cheers Stoney and happy fourth to you! I know the feeling, I am also close to the hill side. The Fourth has been extra happy here, even after a monsoonal micro burst rolled through last night causing many buds to be ejected from my peppers ,I noticed my first Habanero pod forming this morning and it seems to be doing well. I'm pleased to say that 6 of the 14 people at the pool party yesterday were Canadians. We asked one of them what was the difference between Canada Day celebrations and Fouth of July celebrations and he said, "Lots less blue!" LOL! Kathy
