Happy 4th of July everyone!

Our neighborhood does not allow fireworks because we are so close to the hilldside. Last night, something exploded above our house that was so loud..so, where there is a will there is a way.
Just hope skyrockets don't fall on my pepper plants..ha!

Cheers Stoney and happy fourth to you! I know the feeling, I am also close to the hill side.

The Fourth has been extra happy here, even after a monsoonal micro burst rolled through last night causing many buds to be ejected from my peppers ,I noticed my first Habanero pod forming this morning and it seems to be doing well. Fingers crossed for us all.

My patriotic bed is also grateful for the soft rain just in time for the 4th. We got through the Fourth fireworks without rain...just lightening got pretty close so we finished up and left a few. The kids went out very early the next morning and did them! Made ice cream and cooked out. Both kids were down....quite a crowd with one's cat and one's dog in the house too! We just got a light shower. Still needing a good rain. Helen, you you mean you are going to help her weed for daylilies? That's a good deal if the ground is soft and it is cool and didn't last over two hours!

Thanks for your sweet comments, "Holiday-ers!" Can't believe a week in July is gone already ...summer is passing by so fast! I looked up info on the "Our Flag" print (not 'The Flag') ...it's a pretty old framed print (lithograph) & I appreciate it even more now w/Mom gone. yes...it was a real good weekend...work & play ...had some of kids/gr'kids home! And, who knows, luvs...we may meet up again one day! That is if Jane ever gets that bus tuned up & rollin'! I'll ever let Dollbaby ride along if Punk will bring TJ! LOL! Just north, we get the occasional monsoonal scraps from the gulf of Cal here in Utah. I have experienced it while living south of Phoenix and those bursts can be gnarly!

We had a very COOL and nice 4th. We went to Bellevue Park to celebrate and watch the spectacular fire works. It was the coldest 4th of July night of my life time. I moved to WA just 2 years ago.
