The blooms have started In earnest this week, thankfully got some much needed rain.

FFE on Solar Blast this week. It was added as a single fane last season, four fans and two scapes now. I love this bloom, so different than anything else here.

Banshee Whisper started blooming this week. This is a great plant and Was a bonus, so glad I have it. It has multiplied nicely and bud count has increased.

Boy Crazy has finally settled in after being moved by me three times the past few years.

FFE on Red Suspenders. Good increase this season, went from 2 to 4 fans, has three scapes now. The bloom is huge.

A clump of Stephanie Return.

One of my new favorites, a good grower, Tall Dark Stranger.

A small clump of Destined to See.

FFO on Wanda Lou Lovely, she actually had two today, could only fit one in the photo.

I always like Wanda Lou! You have so many lovelies here. I like Banshee Whisper-color and form. I really prefer the curling and twisting. Tall Dark Stranger has that great color you get. Nothing beats clump shots!!

Nice ones! My favorites are Banshee Whisper and Wanda Lou Lovely. The clump of Destined to See is pretty too!

Lavenderlace, according to my records, I apparently got SL from Rogue Valley Roses in 2012. I thought it was Vintage Gardens, but I remember now, I got this one to replace the one I got from them because it died a few yrs before that. This plant has been a verrrry slow grower. The other one was as well, and was in the ground (too soon). This one's still in a 1gal pot, and will stay in it until it gets the size of a 2yr grafted plant. This is only the second bloom it's had. The first one was a week before it, and not nearly as pretty. I don't know if it has any scent or not. I didn't check it. Sorry. I grow roses for looks not for scent, so I always seem to forget to check. This plant did go thru a couple of winter freezes and maybe even a couple of light snows. We usually only get one day of snow a yr, but it's been a few since that happened! I see RVR is out of stock on it, but you might contact them and see if they anticipate having it anytime soon. I think I'm going to like it once it gets established. The blooms blow pretty fast, but that could change when the plant matures... I hope!

Windberry, I was thinking the same as Floral, that it would be nice to have your location in every post. Here's how to add it so it posts automatically by your name. Go to Your Houzz in the upper right of every page, click Edit Profile, and on the left side click advanced settings. Well down the advanced settings page is a blank labeled Climate Zone for Garden Forums along with a link to find your zone. If you add info on your geographic region, state/province, or the nearest large city either here or on the profile page under the name posted, it will be useful since zone only relates to average coldest winter temperatures and factors such as soil type, pH, and moisture regime will effect plant growth as well. Then return to the top of the page and click Done Editing. IME there are a range of plants that in my area will begin "spring" bloom in fall as soon as their chill requirements are met if we get a warm spell that allows bloom. Certain Rhodies, forsythia, and some Hellebores are all plants I have seen do this.

Nosferatu grows very well here. Nice large blooms. Scapes were tall this year, when Killer's were shorter. Appealing veining texture on blossom. Grows considerably taller than registered here, though in part shade. To me, the purple has a medium bluish cast.

I like Solar blast, and Tall Dark Strangwer looks good, but my favorite is probably Stephanie Return.

Yup, Wanda Lou Lovely ranks up there in the top of my list of "wish I had those daylilies " but does not appear to be available in Canada at least I haven't stumbled across it . Boy Crazy comes in next from these images. I really like Judy Davisson's daylilies , I grow several of her plants including a seedling I won on the lily auction a number of years ago and they do really well here. . I also like her names for plants. She has some imagination !

Beautiful, Sherry! Things are starting to pop here too. Solar Blast is one I've thought of getting, I like the looks of it and it is definitely different. Tall Dark Stranger looks great too!

One more, Sunday Gloves at 8:30 pm after all day in the sun, still looks great, 6” bloom.

We must have ordered from the same place, as I also received BANSHEE WHISPER as a bonus. Mine has been in pot for 2 or 3 years. I really need to get it planted. It does look nice. I also grow RED SUSPENDERS and it is an excellent plant.

David, Banshee Whisper came from Oak Hill daylilies in central Illinois. Get it in the ground, you will be rewarded!
