Help Needed with Master Bath to Sell Home
Comments (135)The listing has new photos of the new rooms and also the front of the home. I am surprised that the other sites have not picked up the photo changes but do have the price reflected correctly. We dropped our price 22k I would have thought they would have the new pictures by now. I am sure my Realtor doesn't update all the sites he told me that they will pick it up on their own. It has been two weeks since the new pictures went up, too. Anyway my MLS listing is 201316269. If that helps. After waiting a couple of weeks and two cancellations for showings we finally had some buyers come through this past Monday who loves the home but said it was their first day looking so they wanted to look around the area before making a final decision. Anyway I am hoping they come back with an offer in hand soon. I am hoping that the Federal Reserve announcement that they will be raising rates in the near future will get people off their butts!...See MoreNeed piece to transform into bath vanity
Comments (4)I find dressers, commodes and chifferobes at the Goodwill in Biloxi and Gulfport, and Americas Thrift in Biloxi. The local paper( The Sun Herald) has a $100 or less section and people place ads in there ,and it usually has a lot of dressers. A good place might be yard sales in your area, too. But we're not that far :)...See MoreDoes master bath and guest bath tile need to match, or be the same?
Comments (14)My two bathrooms are as polar opposites as you can possible get! I'll explain: My bathroom (the master ensuite is light (but not white marble, hex floors and white/light gray paint light). Moonlight "travertine like" porcelain floors and walls, Seatones (blue, aqua and sea green) glass tiles, Giallo Ornamentale granite and a light blue ceiling. Dark vanity. Crystal glass sink. The master bedroom and ensuite are totally different from the rest of the house and we're ok with that. Those are private areas. The rest of the house is done in rich warm colors, rich browns, pumpkin, deep golds, plum, dark sage green, bronze and black. DH's bathroom flows with the look of the rest of the house. His granite is mostly black, deep orange, dark gold. His glass sink is a Colbalt Copper color. Floor tiles and tub/shower surround is dark charcoal (basically black with accents of tumbled crema marfil and ORB metals). The walls were just finished today. A beautiful spanish knife texture with a glazed faux finish. Color is reddish bronzed over dark gold base. This is also the bathroom guests will use. It's bold and dramatic. He likes it. I like it too but I much prefer the tranquility of the Caribbean inspired color palette in my bathroom. So yeah, I have no problem with bathrooms looking TOTALLY different <g> Oh, they ARE on opposite ends of the house :)...See MoreNeed Better Lay-Out for FIL's Master Bath
Comments (2)Have you investigated why the step-up is there? Is is condo located on an upper floor (above another unit)? I completely understand the need to remove the variation in levels in the space, but having renovated multiple condo properties, I also know that sometimes those things exist for a reason that requires HOA approval to alter and sometimes isn't fixable....See Moredrsaj
