Comments (7)Nice space! I would switch the end table to the other side of sofa to center the sofa. Pull the rug back &centered to sofa/tv console so sofa sits on rug-not tv console. Put floor lamp in corner where the end table is now. Plant where floor lamp is now. Glass/metal or acrylic coffee table. 2smaller chairs -possibly vintage to add some age in the room -reupholstered in a fun small print with the colors of your rug. Down filled pillows on sofa. Cream/white drapes on windows. I feel like the Buddha pic competes with the tv-maybe add it where the alcove by the stairs with chest/console underneath(where the tricycle is now) &I will add more storage. Maybe replace the big picture with a collection/gallery in a more square organic shape, rather than rectangle. Long runner in the kitchen-bringing the fuscia color over there. Picture below has many elements that I'm seeing--great pillows/clear coffee table, possibly a bench under the window, smaller chairs.......and I like the sheer Roman shades, as well....See Moreliving room,,,, please help the idea to beautify my living room again
Comments (1)What are you willing/able to do? What, specifically, are you unhappy with? Are you considering replacing the furniture? Paint the walls? Without more information it's difficult for me to make suggestions. However, I'd strongly suggest moving that chair away from the draperies/window. And also change the paint color. Is the room as small as it looks in these pictures? If so, that furniture, in my opinion, is far too large. When you say "Beautify my living room again" (again being the word I'm referring to), what did it look like before when you considered it beautiful? I think you've got a lot to work with. It would also probably be a good idea for you to post this also in the Home Decorating Forum....See MoreHelp finishing off my living room please!
Comments (51)Hi. Sure hope the kids are back at school soon! What an experience! Paint color: The first photos you showed, the sofas did look a little purple. Second series, they did not. So, I would wait until all the elements are in the room and then make a decision. Rug: the size, from my calculations should be at least 6 x 9 feet and preferably 8 x 10. (For the love seat area especially, 8 x 10 is preferred if you want some table on one or both ends . The rug you show appears to have a touch of green in it, so I would stay away from it. Just one more tone to deal with. Esale rugs offers free returns. You haven't posted a photo of a room you like, so not sure exactly what style you want. I can guess, but not positive. You can have both rugs the same. Others here will tell you that you should not. But, I think they can be the same OR coordinate. Either is fine. Coffee Table: I can't say what kind of coffee table you should buy, as I don't know your design goals. My impression is that you are trying to go more contemporary and that you like a little glam. Here is what I would do if I were you. -Get the furniture set in the new arrangement and see how you like the flow. I think you will. It gives people choices and easy in and out....See MoreGiavanna Severino
