Comments (14)Your space already looks really nice! Couple of suggestions: Put a console under the TV. Something narrow to ground it so it isn't floating / looming on the wall. Replace the chair with one or two that have a style more consistent with the contemporary sofa. Put another console table behind the sofa so that you're not looking at the back of the sofa. A larger area rug that can go under the sectional and under the chair (or chairs if you do two) would probably bring the space together better. Though I do really like the cowhide rug you have....See MoreHelp finishing off my living room please!
Comments (51)Hi. Sure hope the kids are back at school soon! What an experience! Paint color: The first photos you showed, the sofas did look a little purple. Second series, they did not. So, I would wait until all the elements are in the room and then make a decision. Rug: the size, from my calculations should be at least 6 x 9 feet and preferably 8 x 10. (For the love seat area especially, 8 x 10 is preferred if you want some table on one or both ends . The rug you show appears to have a touch of green in it, so I would stay away from it. Just one more tone to deal with. Esale rugs offers free returns. You haven't posted a photo of a room you like, so not sure exactly what style you want. I can guess, but not positive. You can have both rugs the same. Others here will tell you that you should not. But, I think they can be the same OR coordinate. Either is fine. Coffee Table: I can't say what kind of coffee table you should buy, as I don't know your design goals. My impression is that you are trying to go more contemporary and that you like a little glam. Here is what I would do if I were you. -Get the furniture set in the new arrangement and see how you like the flow. I think you will. It gives people choices and easy in and out....See MoreFinish my living room please!
Comments (11)Lots to consider and before buying anything, have a plan. Layout: try an on line room planner to test/decide. Some of your pictures feel distorted size wise. I would eliminate grey couch and purchase two chairs (facing couch). Try couch under window if enough room and create a great focal wall where couch was (which will detrack from the AC unit). If couch has to remain on wall, add large, modern art and also add something under window (Ignore mirror in example below) Coffee table: don’t buy until layout and chairs are finalized, as size and shape might have different requirements. I really like this coffee table and suggest only one side table, with a floor lamp on other side. Only buy after coffee table is chosen. Chairs: I like your last example best, as it seems to suit the room examples/look you are going for. Accessories: I’d add something under the hanging plant, as it feels lost. Not a fan of small scattered plants and look to group larger ones instead....See Morepal kasa
