1973 slab foundation uneven possibly from beginning, fix?

We have an offer on a 1973 ranch home. Has some nice potential, but the concrete slab (modified slab or possibly infill slab—it’s on a bit of a slope) is very uneven. It’s clearly higher at the edges of the house. It clearly dips at the middle of the house, though there are a couple of other spots where it just feels uneven, like a dip outside the master bedroom. You can see the slope when looking at the bottom of some of the doors. There’s no obvious cracking anywhere in the walls, the doors are fairly new but don’t stick, newer vinyl windows don’t stick. The 1973 cabinets are pulling off the wall, and the steps at the front are pulling away from the house a bit. We had an engineer and a contractor look at the house. They believe the slab was just poured badly from the beginning, that it hasn’t settled. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? It’s hard for us to believe someone would buy a new house with this problem. Because of covid, so many contractors and foundation specialists are so backed up and we can’t get anyone else out very soon. We may be passing on this house because no one knows how to deal with it. If we try to jack up the concrete, that may not have even been sagging, we may do too much damage to the house. Anyone ever hear of a solution to something like this?
