I am retired now, and moved to Florida. And it is really great for my sons to be able to finally go down and visit now that I am able to do those things in life that I always wanted to do, which is to start drinking at noon and then head on out to buy my sons ugly shirts.

eld6161, Yes your cat is cheating. IIRC the total number of W's in scrabble is 2, and the total number of M's is 3. So your cat probably has a separate bag of extra tiles and every time you look away he swaps some of his useless tiles for ones that allow him to place his favorite word.

In the past you might have noticed your cat playfully swatting at tiles on a scrabble board, and thought "Oh that's cute" but then when you went to put the game away found that some tiles were missing. That was no accident.

Things are still far from being normal or good here, but I guess I could go as far as saying things are Ok. I had family visiting until just a couple of weeks ago, and still have friends coming by to hang out. And I've actually been working from home and accomplishing the tasks I need to do.

The baby horse, Champ, is a joy. He is becoming very friendly and outgoing.

So nice to hear from you, Bob. Sounds like you are doing as well as can be expected. I’m glad you have a good support system, including Champ.

that is good to do, even if you don't post. it'll be a long time (if ever) that life will be normal again, but it can be good again. I remember many decades ago going thru something like that and after a few weeks family and friends went back to their lives and being home alone was not good … I went back to work after those 1st 2 weeks too and they were surprised I came back 'so soon'. It was much better to be busy and have something else occupy my mind during the day hours and exhaust my body. It will ease in time, just hold on to what the future has for you and keep going forward.
