Solid door and well made. I have seen plenty of $500 Andersen doors that rub the floor after they continue to come apart to recommend a good storm door. Provia does make a nice one.

The door is a mahogany look a like with 3 upper areas of a panel look with brick mould around it. The actual moulding has cracked, as well as the skin of the door. Their first solution was for me to paint it. The whole situation is a joke, and I would never go with this door again. I believe since they moved their plant to Mexico because of EPA reasons, the Mexican Gov is also now cracking down on EPA issues, and their finishing process has changed for the worse. They keep remaking the door in hopes of a different result, which is exactly the definition of insanity. The result after 3 times is the same....a cracked finish.

+1. While the nicer stuff at the box stores is acceptable, there is nothing there on the level of the higher end offerings like Provia. Anything in particular under about $250 there I'd expect not to get more than 5-10 years at best

ProVia makes a really awesome product. Perfect for both new & old construction. I like their Fusion frame. They are somewhat limited in style for the more contemporary design style, but if you find something you like you won't be disappointed. If going woodgrain use the Embarq or Signet. The Heritage fiberglass & stained steel finishes don't look very realistic. For smooth finish I like all grades depending on budget & style needs. Lead times (like any company) are brutal. Plan early! ThermaTru is ok, but nothing like a Provia. It's worth driving some distance for a Provia if not available nearby. Best of luck
