How do I scale my fireplace so it’s just right?

Long story short, bought a house where the previous owners ripped out the original brick fireplace on this wall. Theres no trace of it, so its a blank wall. We are building a new fireplace, from scratch (gas) and want to do it right. we’d even like beautiful built ins on the sides if its fit for the space.

Can anyone let me know what kind of scale and proportion I should be in the realm of? If there’s anyone who could give me a formula or drawing, that’d be great. The vault is stumping me (it’s not high at all).

112”=9.33’

91.5”=7.6’

163”=13.58’
