Help - musty crawl space odor in new construction home

Over the past several months we've started to smell a very unpleasant and concerning musty "old house smell" permeating the inside of our 2019 new construction home in the greater Seattle area. I've been in the crawl space several times now and that's definitely where it's coming from. You can even smell it outside the house a few feet away from the crawl space vents. When the crawl space floor access panel is open the whole house smells within 5 minutes. Something you would never expect in a new home by a very reputable builder.

I've had two service plumbers and a crawl space company come out and nobody can determine what the cause is, but all detect the odor. The builder is stumped as well. There are no visible leaks, moisture, or rodents in the crawl space, and it has over a dozen foundation vents and a vapor barrier over drainage rock.

It's so disappointing to have a seven-figure new construction home that smells musty and unpleasant inside with an obvious crawl space problem. Any and all help/suggestions is appreciated.

Thank you.
