Can someone please tell me the name of this plant.

I would like to know the name of these two perennials please.

one is the purple one and the other is the orange color ground cover.

The first is Ajuga reptans, aka carpet bugle. The second is some sort of sedum. I'd suspect 'Angelina' but the photo is from too far a distance to confirm.

Thankyou Gardengal. Once again you come to my rescue. My garden center tries to tell me that photo is salvia and I knew it could not be by the amounts of bloom in our cold weather. So thank you for giving me the name. Now I can go look for it.
