Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Please help! Trying to decide on gutter and downspout colors.

We recently got a Moire Black roof on our reddish brick house. Now we are finishing it off with new gutters and down spouts. I love the look of the dark bronze color for the front, but our back looks so different. I think I have it narrowed down to either dark bronze or white. I am planning to paint the trim white in the front and back and am not sure yet about the garage door (maybe similar to color in back??).

I was thinking dark bronze gutters and spouts, but almost want to do dark bronze gutters and spouts on all but he back and do white downspouts there. Is that crazy? I have also seen gutters and downspouts different colors and would consider that. (bronze up and white down). Otherwise, I would probably just do all white. Also, not sure if bronze would be frowned upon by HOA, but I feel like they only work off complaints.

The swatch pics show white, dark bronze, tuxedo gray (the color of our back door), and the neutral is similar to the paint color in back. Our fixtures are dark bronze too. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks!

Front...roof is new gutters are off and am going to paint.

Please don’t mind the mess, just went out and snapped last minute for myself, not thinking I would be sharing. Gutters are off, still need to paint trim.

A lot of times when gutters and downspouts get painted along with a house paint job, the painters match the trim and siding to give you two-tone downspouts. I have dark bronze both and they are highly visible on my beige stucco house with white trim. It reads industrial to me, which I really like. It’s just preference.

Gutters aren't typically a design feature, they are utility aspects to the house. Choose a color that would blend with your fascia and paint the downspouts a color to blend with the siding on which they are placed so they disappear into their backgrounds.

Making the gutters a contrasting color emphasizes them - generally not in a good way.

Thanks again, so I also came across this thread ([https://www.houzz.com/discussions/exterior-paint-choosing-colors-dsvw-vd~3830482?n=9[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/exterior-paint-choosing-colors-dsvw-vd~3830482?n=9) ) and now Hampshire Gray is in the running too, lol. Pretty much eliminated Rockport, and leaning away from Gettysburg (one pro says it looks "battleship gray" to her which I looked up and I don't agree as battleship grays tend not to have any greens but just very cool and more blue-tinted, but I can see her point that it's not as warm). Hampshire Gray HC-101 vs Copley Gray HC-104 Wonder how the California sun would make it look. Want it to look warm but not old fashioned. The Copley gray in dusk light from the picture above looks more gray than the brown that's on this swatch. I know that it's all about the lighting. Since we don't have that much trim and other features (brick/stone facade), I just want a color that would look good even when it's the predominant color. Do you have the link to the page that showed best home colors for brown roofs? Thanks again.

White. Pretend they aren't there. Add groovy cool stuff elsewhere (like the pool bar!). Also go out of your way to be sure to get low profile ones like your old ones seem to be and not the easy-to-find kind of too deep for your house ones. You want them to disappear. Boxy is good. Did your house have them at all originally? I guess they're nice to have regardless, at least over doorways. (By the way, nice to see someone with an actual fence around their pool! GW seems to have an awful lot of people who don't mind drowning children. The pool building forum scares me. :P)

Thank you Sudie. We haven’t replaced them yet, because our exterior contractor is in demand. We’re finally getting started so seeing your post was great. We want the upper price range modern look🙂. We’ve made some exterior changes, black square aluminum mail post with large stainless steel numbers, trimmed the tree, thicker porch posts, and removed the shutters. The contractor dropped off the catalog two weeks ago and I’m still really drawn to the black gutters. We’re also trying to decide on vertical siding on either ends, or stone siding or two color siding.

Beckington, I can't speak to the GE range as I have a GE elec wall oven and a gas range top. However, my wall oven has the steam clean function as well as the old fashioned self clean. From my experience, the steam clean is worthless. The regular self clean works very well. The oven keeps even temperatures, it does have WiFi connectivity which I never hooked up. I don't know if you can assume the oven in the range works the same as the wall oven. One might think they are using the same technology but who knows. Maybe a call to GE could answer your question.
