How do I save my money tree?

Julia Escaño

I recently repotted my 2.5-year-old money tree after I saw his roots growing out of his pot's drainage holes. Since then, he hasn't been doing very well. His leaves get all blotchy then eventually shrivel up and die. I didn't see any root rot when I repotted, but is this a result of some kind of root damage anyway? Can he be saved? I love this plant. He grows a lot of 7-leaf stems and I don't want to give up on him, but I'm at my wit's end. I linked to some photos. Would appreciate any thoughts :'(
