My mother in law gave me a cutting of this bush from her yard and she said she had always called it a "First Breath of Spring" bush. I had a landscaper look at it & he also called it a Bridal Wreath Spirea. You're right, it roots easily & spreads nicely. Mine has been beautiful this year - I think it was in bloom for two months straight - it started when the crocus first came out & the blooms are just now dying.

Thank you all. Yes the flowers smell good. I have also read now that I can use a slow release 15-5-10 fertilizer on them just like the grass. I'm in the South and have St. Augustine grass. I read that I shouldn't get it on the leaves or the base of the trunk of the plants. Any other tips on fertilizing and making these things grow thick? They act as a privacy fence.
