I have seen many in bedrooms on design links. Depends upon the room, decor and what one would use it for. Had one in my living room. Not a back recliner. But as others mentioned, people always shied away from it...except for the grown kids and myself. I ended up reconstructing and cut the end off. Surprisingly easy. Used the existing feet and finished off the edges with fabric from lounge extension into a big comfy chair. Had a large ottoman which was same size, different, but go to matching fabric. Works the same as a lounge if wanted, but can be moved around for more welcoming seating. Having a chaise lounge made me stay away from couches with them. They probably have their use, but doesn't work for me.

Also keep an eye on your craigslist. I wanted a chaise a few years ago and found many to choose from. I found an antique/vintage one for $80 and had it recovered (it's in my master bath/closet area right now, but would be great in a living room). I just search for "chaise" in furniture as well as antiques. Leave off the longue or lounge as many people don't post either, just chaise. An antique or vintage would work great with your boho leaning room.

I've finally decided to replace my outdoor furniture with Polywood recycled plastic furniture. It's expensive, but have just purchased a couple side tables and they're quite heavy and look nice. No maintenance is what I like and made in the USA...they have many different styles of chairs, tables, etc. for patio/porch/deck... My next purchase will be a round conversation/coffee table...then higher sitting adarondak chairs in different colors....hopefully by next summer, I'll have my deck refurnished with maintenance-free furniture..... I like the above floor-living cushions, but I could not get myself up off the deck without help...way too low for me...but they are cute and colorful.

If you want to lay in the chair for long periods of time, there is nothing like the thick pads! I love modern, but also want REALLY inviting chairs to sit in, so will give up the look a little and just get with cushions. Yes, sling easy to hose down and dries fast. The latest is the built in pads- that is the latest look by far. Brown Jordan expensive but if you can do it and would love them- go for it. Otherwise, Costco has tons. I also am insisting on having arm rests for comfort! No wicker- too many spider webs and spiders!! Best of luck. Oh I would avoid curve and circular arm rests and design and go for more contemporary clean straighter lines for a crisp non dated look. Take some pictures when you're done!
