You are both right about the black and white trims. Black trims were the first on the market. However, most homeowners have switched to white trims for the interior. I would probably put the black ones outside because they show less dirt. Check the trims that you are purchasing to find out which light bulbs they will take before worrying about PAR and regular flood lamps. Some trims will not take both. don't mix the light bulbs in one room. Decide which lamps you want in which area and stay with it. If the recessed light you are using can use both types of bulbs, then you can decide if you want a warmer light or a brighter light in the area. At times we have mixed these by putting the brighter, whiter PAR lamps in task areas (i.e., kitchens) and the more yellow incandescent bulbs in the living areas (living room, dining room, etc.) depending on the colors that were being used. If you are contemporary, the PAR lamps are wonderful. If you are traditional we have used the regular reflector lamps. This is all a personal choice and I would suggest that you look at how both lamps would look in your home. Remember, you can always dim the PAR lights down and even though they will be white looking, they won't be as bright.

If that is a true budget I would recommend the cedar as I am not a fan of inexpensive composite.

We do quite a bit of glass work in pools. Never heard of a silicone rubber grout. More important is the thinset then the grout for adhesion. The surface must be properly prepared first, then you want to use a good white modified thinset. Then you can use a C-Cure or similar grout. Dont know what type of glass you are using but they very greatly. Anything that is back meshed is not warrantied by the thinset company. Some of the thicker glass can also be a pain because of the weight. You want to find someone that is VERY experianced in doing glass tile in pools. You usually pay a premium for this, but it will be worth it.

The Pentair 4x160 is now known as the VS3050. The waterfall pump will need a 1 speed pump. The best pump can't be stated yet since we don't know enough about the waterfall's demand. It may be a 3/4 HP or it may need a 2 HP or more. If you build a 50 ton set of falls, I can guarantee a 3/4 HP would not do it for you. The pool and sweep can be run by the VS3050. The spa can run off it too, up to 8 similar jets at the same hight. Additional jets or jets on different levels should be on an additional pump. Scott
