Back in the 60s, my Mom and her GF would take off for a weekend in the fall to go leaf peeping in VT. They would do crazy things and have a great time. One time they were driving through town and saw an old victorian home being torn down. Mom was looking for salvage moldings for Dad to turn into picture frames so they stopped and asked if they could look around. She came across a pair of doors with stained glass in them and asked how much he wanted. He told her $10, so she bought them. They were in our barn for years and years. One window was badly warped and broken, but the other was fairly decent. When we built our new house, we had a stained glass artist repair some bits, clean and tighten the rest, and install it in a new door. It is now a gently used door to DH's study from the foyer and it helped inspire the color scheme for both spaces. It is truly a door I adore.

Lara - what is that spectacular plant? You have such wonderfully exotic plants especially to someone living near Philly.

The plant is epiphyllum oxypetalum, or Queen of the Night. The flowers have a very strong fragrance as well.

No exotic or unique doors in my picture collection. Well.... I guess Donna Pacer's doors are a bit unique. Note that her passenger door is larger than the driver's side door. That was for easier entry to the back seat.
