Spring photos of some of my garden lots of roses. Pic Heavy
Comments (19)Hey Annie, Thank you for the compliments, just got done looking are your roses and I would have to say the same! I got the carnations at Lowes I think a few years ago. I love them! They are my birthday flower and I was so excited to find them as I didn't think they would do well down here but then again those places tend to buy things that don't do well for the area. Turns out they have done wonderfully. I do remember you telling me about your daughter living in Columbia and your someday visit down here which I am still looking forward to! :O) Yes, it is too bad she doesn't live closer as I would love to help her out. Mabe when you do end up coming to visit her we can all meet up at the zoo. Then you could come down to visit Charleston. I have a membership to Magnolia Garden and Plantation and I could show you around there and have a picnic there perhaps, I love it there. Maybe you could bring your daughter too and we could have a nice time. July and August are hot and humid though so be prepared. So far it really hasn't been too bad heat wise. We have actually had a nice long cool spring with a few hot days lately but not too bad. Looking forward to your visit! Congratulations grandma! ~Meghan...See MoreA question and a few pics from my garden

Does that remind anyone backing out of the garage to be careful? :) And Don, it was no less than what I expected to find in any garden you touched, or really any project you set yourself to accomplish. Great detail in the use of white to define the hardscape. Love the shape of that arbor, breaking away from always straight lines one comes to expect with wood structures. Honestly, do you do all this work, including maintenance, yourself? Do you have hired help? How large is your garden anyway, to have all these well laid out non-cramped beds. Did you landscape it, because it is very professional looking. And, I've lost my way to THE LISTS....where are they now? I know some were moved to Pieterje's site, or so I think, and I cannot find it. Looking for the THEME GARDENS specifically. Need to submit a few more. I now have the HOSTA FINDER to browse through, need to see your lists. Sorry if it is off topic a bit, but I was going to email you with this question, and here you post, so......excuse please? (but where is it)...See MoreA few pics from my garden
Comments (8)Oxalis comes by itself. If you do not want it everywhere, I would carefully yank it making sure you have everything. In a clay based loam , it became totally infected. I liked it with my wandering jew because it would be very nice in late winter before the wandering Jew had taken off and then it would get rust and die off abve ground and the WJ would be there ready to take over the job of taking over the space. Only problem was it tpook over everything in the front yard. This one is a native . also called wood Sorrel. Eatable in sallad too. A tart taste....See MoreRelated Professionals
