Black Exterior Windows - Trim color question

My house is being renovated. I will be installing black Andersen 100 Series windows on my contemporary house. The house has a black shingle roof. The house color is light gray, cedar vertical siding. What color trim would you recommend? E.g. garage door color, trim around garage door, gutter fascia. Front door is black with rain glass. Right now I only have two colors - black (windows/front door) and light gray (house color). I feel like I need a third color trim to break it up but I'm not sure what color to use. Any thoughts?

How much trim are you planning ? IMO black is the way to go, keep the # of materials and colors to a min. on a contemporary house.

Trim around the top where the house meets the roof, the gutter fascia, that's about it. the windows outside will be black. I just thought it would be too "dark" to have a gray house with black windows and black trim. I was thinking of using a shade slightly lighter than the gray of the house for the trim.

Cp - I saw a bunch like the one you showed, but ours has extended trim under so I was thinking it may have a different "look"? I actually wanted it like the pic but the builder and I had a miscommunication :-/ and now it's like the way you see above.

That's good the windows will be closer together. I think the trim on the upper windows is fine. You'll also have the apex trim the cream, as well as the "gutter" trim and the "V" triangles on the roofline. Oh...Yes, I agree the porpoise may be too dark. How about a couple of shades lighter on the paint chip?

I’m experiencing the exact same dilemma. What option did you go with? I’m afraid going all black (window and trim) will be too much. I have a combination exterior house, brick and shingles. The shingles are painted dark grey. Do you have pics of the final product?

I agree with houssaon to remove all the shutters and keep the trim consistent. Instead, use landscaping to enhance your new house with much deeper beds. Trim those azealeas back to under the windows on the left. Add more well-designed shrubs on the right. Consider painting your front door a bright color and add porch bench under one of the windows or porch chairs with a table in the middle. Then you won't have to think about trim paint.

I thinking adding some white trim will prevent the black hole look. I’ve attached a picture that does a nice job of balancing the color combinations.

I used these 3 on my home, and the Swiss Coffee is actually very white

Is your gray lighter than this one? I love this combo.

looks like they went w/a brighter White here. Go with Pure White or Simply White

These are the Andersen windows and similar colors in your home

The white on this house looks similar to a swiss coffee, or more of a softer white.
