Do I have enough room in Guest Bedroom?
Comments (40)Hi Cp, I just happened to check out the decorating forum and saw your thread. I just learned last night how to use Paint. Now I cannot stop! I played with a WAY out of the box idea. I am sure it is a no-go as it might effect the ceilings below in the living room. I know you plan those gorgeous built ins next to the fireplace. I will post it anyways though. I owe you big time for helping me on my cabin plan, but somehow I don't think THIS one counts as returning the favor. LOL! It is a little crazy, but I was trying to figure out how to use the wasted space in the long hallway by stairs. I was thinking, what about a T-shaped staircase where at the landing the stairs split. The one side goes into the bedroom and the other to your art studio. You could do a second door by the elavator hallway to get to the bathroom. It would give plenty space for the murphy bed anyways. ;-)...See MoreDo i have enough room for two?
Comments (12)Shi Shi is one of the smaller plants, so if you don't have room for two plants of it, I don't know how you'll manage two plants of a larger variety. I think that one plant of 'Kanjiro' would look good if centered in the space and surrounded with companion plants. 'Cotton Candy' and 'Mine-no-Yuki' are pretty, but I don't know if a pale-colored bloom will catch the eye like the deep pink 'Kanjiro'... But that's my personal taste, and you may prefer a lighter color... Virginia...See MoreDo I have enough recessed light
Comments (1)4" or 6" is immaterial. What counts is the beam width--the spread--and that depends on the bulb itself. To my eye that's more lights than I would use, but I dislike can lights like that. I'd have none (or maybe 4 low power just to navigate the room)....See MoreHelp me decide if I have enough room for water closet in new bathroom?
Comments (7)If your grid is accurate and you are 1 sq = 1 ft, then you don't have enough room between the newly expanded shower and the wall for the enclosed w/c. Your diagram shows 1 ft. Also the pocket door won't fit as shown. Consider a wall between the toilet and the vanity without the rest of the enclosure if you are seeking privacy there. See how this wall between the vanity and the toilet serves to hide the toilet a little bit on these two pics below? This is a different layout, but similar concept for the dividing wall. In your space consider only having the wall right next to the vanity and not going over to the other side of the room. A wall to the ceiling would conceal the toilet area and not close in the room IMO....See MoreDirt Digger Z6NH
