My husband and I purchased our retirement home in FL. While we

understand that the architecture is "typically Florida", we feel like we are walking into a shopping mall every time we enter the front door. We would like a more modern look to the house. We are planning on replacing the current windows with hurricane standard ones, so the size and shape can be altered. We also need a new roof and were thinking metal (color? black?) and it definitely needs a new exterior color. Other than that, we love it! P.S. the glass block windows on the right have to go but that is where the master bathroom is, so the issue of privacy has to addressed. We would welcome any suggestions!
