I have mountains of the things because at LAST count I have over 100 palms on my property. I wish I knew a way to shred them.A few years back my dad would cut them into small pieces for me and I used it as much and it worked great. Hes a little to frail for that now. I am hoping to start digging the bottom layer out and using some of the decayed stuff. tanya

Hi hevykevy420. You can cut them off where they bend or at the base of the frond. Whichever. Although some people here say don't cut any living green off. Since its just a Majesty I think it'll be OK this time. I've learned if you buy a Majesty Palm don't get too attached to it. They can be a pain. About the drain hole. Unplug it now and throw the plug away. Get a drip tray for when its inside. Just water it in the shower or outside, let it drain and set it on the tray when its finished. I hope Mr Droopy can get it back up in the future. LOL! Good luck! BTW. Heres what I'd do with it. LOL!

Yeah, I don't blame you for being concerned. After a month and half, it should be looking more vigorous. Also, how does the NEW growth look from the emerging spear? Is it bending as well? Being containerize, transplanting should not have been such a big factor. Heat stress probably does not help, but there may just be a problem with that palm unrelated to the move. Is there any kind of warranty to cover potential loss? Palms are very tolerant, BUT when they do go into decline, it can be irreversible.

Mangos are like the most common fruit tree here in St. Pete. I see them everywhere. They're way more common than any citrus. Some of them look ancient. I've seen some with canopies bigger than any other tree in the neighborhood. I think I remember seeing mature rambutans here too but I'm not absolutely certain. I've definitely seen smaller ones planted out and they're often sold at my farmers markets along with many other exotic trees, rollinia, jackfruit, soursop, etc.
