The one thing I woud change is the computer table/desk. Get something that matches the other L shaped desk...or guess you could bring in and use the table. I am thinking more of a desk with storage below...maybe a mate to the L shaped desk but just the desk part. Not sure but I think you could move the two file cabinets next to the beautiful safe and put your desk where the file cabinets are now. That way you would have a wall of desks and the file cabinet/safe would balance out the bookcase you have in there. Love your red chair.

Updating your roof color, like you're planning, is going to really make a huge difference. I know you're asking about house color but have you considered a standing seam roof in black/dark charcoal? I think that would look amazing with your roof and home design. Then, I would stain the wood siding dark charcoal so the stone really pops. You have a gorgeous home which will look even more stunning with these updates.

When you measure, add at least 10% to the amount to account for things like irregular cuts, pattern matching, mistakes, later repairs and so forth. I would actually go a bit more -- when I did my FR with the 10% extra tiles, I ended up with only 2.5 tiles and some smaller scraps left over! Brands -- I think that Supreme Elite, Mannington Adura, Congoleum, IVC, Shaw, Mohawk, Armstrong are all well respected names -- I am sure there are more that I don't know. But all manufacturers make different grades of flooring, so you kind of need to know what you want. In general, I believe for vinyl, the thicker the core layer, the better, especially if you are doing a loose lay or floating installation (not glued down); same for the wear layer. Thicker is more expensive - get the best you can afford! But IIRC if you are doing glued down sheet vinyl, that won't be as thick. Start visiting the websites of flooring retailers so you can get an idea of what is out there. Also the retailer that I mentioned above has helpful information on their website -- I expect others do also. There is a flooring forum here on gardenweb too, a good place to ask questions. Also go to some flooring retailers so you can get a feel for the different grades/types of products, how they look and how they will perform.

ah, ok. better shot. (you're like me. a ton of potted plants! I would elimate a bunch of those and bring in one or two larger pots, trim up the flower beds, and see if that looks a bit better) tried to clean it up a bit and bring in a few ceramic pots. the color of this door would be Cyberspace. the other flowerbed plants need to be trimmed and cleaned up here's more of a Lavender blue w/terra cotta and copper accents You could white wash your brick like it's shown here. look at a small container of Romabio Classico imewash. I think the white wash brick would look nice w/a black door, copper pots, or a bright ceramic pot here's one w/green dark stucco, bright door, bright white trim would also be very pretty.
