What's your GW name mean?
Comments (59)Well, mine is not garden related. "Sister" became a nickname when I started playing rugby on my sister's rugby team after college. A woman named Donna on the team couldn't remember anyone's name, so I became "Sister" and it really stuck. A few years later, at a wedding, someone was telling Donna about a really nice lawyer she'd met -- when Donna asked who it was, the woman replied "I can't remember her name, but I know it was Sister's sister!" To this day, if I call anyone from my old team, I have to use my nickname, as no one would know my first name. The "k" in sister_k is for my first name, which is Kristin....See MoreWhat does your name mean?
Comments (25)***What Greta Means*** You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life. You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone. Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs. You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. Hmmm...velly interesting! Like most results of this type, some things are right on and others are waaay off the wall! LOL...See MoreWhat does your screen name mean?
Comments (112)When I first got an e-mail account I wanted my name to be part of a rose, since I'm a major rose nut. The only rosy word I could find was petaloid, which is a partially formed petal often found in the center of a rose bloom. I used the same name here on GW. Minnie, a rose hybridizer has a secretary named Gladys and he named a rose variety he bred after her, "Happy Butt" -- you should get one! I'll put a link below: Here is a link that might be useful: rose named Happy Butt...See MoreHello :) New user with a question
Comments (15)JC - Couple of thoughts. Remove or Open the Soap Dispenser Bin. Got a really bright flashlight ? I mean BRIGHT. Like a 500+ Lumen variant. How does it look. Any black mould or nice and plasticky.... The real truth teller though, you're going to need to dig deep. Peel the gasket back. Step 1. How clean is it where the gasket meets the lip/face of the outer drum Step 2. Peel that gasket as far out as you can, and shine a light to inspect the cavity of the outer drum. Is is the same nice plastic color OR are you seeing stuff. It's a very narrow window of space between the inner/outer drum but the goal ideally with the bright flashlight is to be able for you to see into the space. You may or may not even see the entire depth of the drum, as there profile of the inner drum might curve, etc so you may only see like 7 inches deep. Look around the entire 360 perimeter in this fashion. It should give you some firm level of answer on whether your machine is ~clean~ or it has stuff murking in it... Sadly, if you see stuff, while I can't speak universally, but as much chemicals, etc you can throw at it to clean it, I think the only way to get it clean is through some level of mechanical agitation... which IMO require disassembly to the point where you can wipe the outer drum surface. A quick google if what I'm talking about of stuff that you may not be seeing..... http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h148/mastertech01/IMG_0029.jpg...See More- 6 years ago
