White Cabinet with White Oak floor ?

I am building a new home and torn between Cheery or White Kitchen cabinets.

I love the floors we chose, they are lighter shade white oak, plank style tile.

Looking for recommendation on whether white kitchen cabinets look good with these floors ? Or should we choose darker cabinets ?

Natural cherry could be a possibility with those. Not the artificially red cherry that people may think of as cherry. White would be too cold and too stark. I actually think natural maple, a darker wood like walnut, or a painted color other than white, would work better as a wood choice with that floor.

The floors are on the cold side, so need warm colors and warm woods to balance that. Alternatively, since the floors will set the tone for the whole house, choosing a warmer tone in those would let that be the grounding warm element that balances out cooler decor choices.

I think we would need a bit more of an idea of your style , I am not a lover of cherry natural or otherwise so can’t help there .I love the Deer Vally blue with those floors but depends on your style.

Easy iron-on backing? What's that? Wow, I learn something new here everyday. You guys really are pros. I'm getting paint swatches tomorrow to see how the color reads in lighting at different times of day. Of course, it will all change with the new cabinets, but at least it will help give me an indication of what it will look like. For a 90" triple window, would my only other option be custom if I don't want a seam down the middle? I have one now on the valance of my bay window and it's never bothered me - but in my new kitchen I want everything to be perfect ;)

The middle row above the center of the room could be omitted. Or a flush mount/ semi flush mount fixture could be used. Since you have UCL, you could reduce the number of recessed lights. As mentioned in the linked thread, the final location of each recessed can will depend on The location of the ceiling joists The direction the ceiling joists run Other obstructions above the ceiling board such as ductwork, plumbing, other structures. It would be a good idea to have peek above before having the holes put in.

Oh my....we've descended to the thumb screws.... Well I'm glad I'm not making things worse. I have a friend who lived with textured counters in a rental home. She hated them with a passion. She bakes, and rolling dough on a textured counter was an exercise in futility. Other little details that you never think about, but expect from your counter every day, like holding vases, shot glasses, and measuring cups (coffee makers, toasters) level and steady, well, you get the idea. Looks cool, but it's not that functional. You'll end up doing everything on your stone - which could be OK, just something (else) to think about!

@Joe Macker. I added protective film to my windows to block UV rays from causing damage. The advantage is that this protects everything in my room. I had damage to my furniture - both cloth and wood from the light streaming in. I have an Eastern exposure. You can't tell that there is any kind of protective film on the windows as mine are not tinted - or tinted so slightly that there is almost no difference but they are rated for close to 99% blocking of the UV rays.

I think white cabinets would make the space look washed out. I would choose a colored cabinet if I wanted painted or a darker wood.
