Best online sources for ordering?
Comments (11)Planting instructions I got from a few reputable nurseries that I ordered the trees from say to soak it, up to 4-5 hours but not over 24 hours. I don't know where I keep those booklets now. I believe in hydrating the roots so I soaked mine in buckets of water while I was digging the holes. So they got soaked any where from 15-20 mins to 2-3 hours depending on when I could get them in the ground. Some people say they never soak bare root trees. I think as long as the roots are not allowed to dry out and that you water a tree well at planting time, you'll be fine. I definitely clear weed/grass of the planting holes for at least 3 ft in diameter and mulch after planting....See Morewhat is the best online light source/store?
Comments (28)I ordered undercabinet fluorescent lights from CSN Lighting last July, and had a couple of problems with the order. First their website listed one price for the units, but when I select the items and proceded to the checkout, a different (and of course higher) price was used for calculating the total. Then, when I called to get the price problem straightened out, I specifically asked whether fluorescent tubes were included with the lights since the website said (and still to this day says) "This undercabinet fluorescent light bar is the latest in undercabinet lighting, complete with energy efficient T5 fluorescent lamps." which really suggests that the lamps would be included. Whereas the PDF specifications file from the lamp manufacturer noted that the lamps were not included. So, the person I talked to checked and said that the fluorescent tubes would be included with the lamps. When the shipment arrived, no fluorescent tubes. After several subsequent calls to them I was unable to get the matter straightened out, so I ordered the tubes from elsewhere and have decided to not give any more business to CSN Lighting (or any of the dozens of other CSN stores) My main lighting for the room, I ordered monorail track lighting from Arcadian lighting, and had a much better online shopping experience. They honored their 110% price match guarantee without batting an eyelash, and the person I dealt with there (Tony Lin) was extremely helpful. The order was shipped with two incorrect items, and Tony noticed it before the package arrived, and immediately shipped a separate package with the right items, and a prepaid shipping label to return the wrong items....See MoreBest Online source for Realestate.
Comments (5)The problem with realtor.com is that they charge fees to show anything except the barest of bare bones, and many listing agents will not pay the fees to get the "enhanced" listings. It is supposed to show every MLS listing but IME does not always pick them all up, or it can pick up the information incorrectly. I need to talk to my agent on Tuesday because realtor.com is not showing my listing info properly, although the MLS has it right. It's a good resource but I don't think it's the only one to use. Sites vary regionally - there will probably be several portals to your local/regional MLS. If you are working with an agent, talk to him/her about what s/he thinks is the best local portal. I live in NH and my favorite by far was mlspropertyfinder.com, which you have to sign up for through an agent (but you do not have to actually work with that agent); the "official" local MLS site is nneren.com but I think their search function kinda stinks. I wasn't really that thrilled with the corporate sites like Century 21, Re/Max, Coldwell Banker, etc. so I almost never used them, but some people seem to like them....See Morebest online source of light switches?need three-switch panel
Comments (9)This is great--thanks to all of you!! I'm so glad it will be simple to fix! I am a DIY-er and figure most things out myself and was worried I'd run into something that would be difficult to fix. Now, I'm replacing a combo switch (3-way combined with 2-way) right now and had the neighbor over for five hours yesterday trying to figure it out. Looks like the PO really made a mess of some of the wiring, and we still didn't get it fixed after all that time, we just capped off the wires. I think I'll just call in a pro on that one though, instead of trying to explain all of the details to you guys. Thanks again for all of your help!!...See Morekudzu9
