Help me pick out a chair for my kitchen table.
Comments (3)I like modern/classic style. Recently bought a house so I'm starting from scratch. This table is the first and only piece of furniture we've bought so far. How about this one- http://www.crateandbarrel.com/furniture/dining-chairs/form-white-chair/s259465 I like this but a bit more than I wanted and the few reviews it has aren't that a great- http://www.crateandbarrel.com/furniture/dining-chairs/vintner-white-side-chair/s419527 This Ikea one is similar but not sure how the quality would be- http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70103250/...See Morehelp decorate my new kitchen table- pics
Comments (21)Vamp- i went with your suggestion and just changed it a bit-- i went to michaels craft store-- we used hydrania flowers... potperie with color (browns/greens to match the kitchen) and a lighter weight glass bowl so i can move it when i need to (on the weekends for dinner)-- week days are more casual for meals! FYI Red cloth is there for temporary so the table doesnt get scratched-- i will be searching for a table runner that will go in its place... Gracie- table /chairs are by Bermex Sueb- wish i had seen your post- i love the idea of a bowl for napkins/pens etc (practical) ahhh well.... when i get tired of this i will use that idea... I am VERY happy with my flowers-- looks so warm.... Now i will be on the hunt for runner and placements- to be continued.......See MoreNeed help refinishing my rock maple kitchen table
Comments (3)By rock maple which is another description for hard maple, is a fairly dense wood. But its most likely the top finish coat thats worn through. First I would try remove the finish with steel wool #00 with either lacquer thinner if the top coat is NC lacquer or paint thinner if its a polyurethane top coat. Once you get through this clear finish layer you should be able just apply a new clear top coat. It starts becoming a real job when you start sanding or making repairs to the wood, ending with poor results if your not a wood finishing equipped professional. You can find more help with this question over in the Woodworking forum....See MoreHelp me pick a table for my kitchen
Comments (2)Scratch all that. After many more hours of shopping I've settled on this table. But stuck between the brushed stainless steel base and matte black base. Both have clear glass tops (looks smoked in the photos). Black one isn't available anywhere on display so posting a stock photo. I'm really torn between these two options. Help! 🙂...See MoreSina Sadeddin Architectural Design
