Sandra sat out the challenge AGAIN.

I thought it was a rule that the same person could not sit out more than one in a row. I thought the Sandra bench was funny. Why not keep doing it, she is basically sitting out the game and getting away with it.

The rule that a player cannot sit out back-to-back challenges was in effect when there were two challenges in one episode -- a reward challenge and then an immunity challenge. So far this season, the challenges have been combined reward-and-immunity challenges, so there has been only one challenge per episode. Still, I think they shouldn't allow any player to sit out consecutive challenges, no matter what type of challenges they are.

No comments about firewood? That was amazing. And Tyson sitting down and saying, wow, look at all the firewood!

I can't wait till Sandra is on a team that doesn't need anyone to sit out and she HAS to play! SO ridiculous that they allow her to never play!

I have to say, I thought that firewood challenge was over the top hard... I really didn't see why they would require them to do 20 trips... even 10 would've been a feat to accomplish. They are barely eating and it's hot - what if Ethan had really had a major problem? Is pushing them that hard worth it? I was really disappointed in the whole thing.

I was sad to see Tyson go - Nick would've been my choice (after Sandra of course but no one even mentions her!)

Next week will be interesting to see how the merge goes!

Thanks Nicole - after I wrote that I thought I might've had it wrong. Too many players to merge yet! So fingers crossed that Sandra ends up on a team where she has to play! They are lopsided numbers aren't they?

For the firewood challenge, why couldn't they work together and bring down two logs - one for themselves and one for another contestant?

I think the instructions on the firewood challenge must have been pretty clear. And then it became a personal challenge to finish the job.

It looks like a tribe swap but it could also shuffle into three tribes of 5, as has happened in the past/

In Jeff's interview he says that firewood challenge was designed, as all the challenges on edge of extinction to really push the contestants to their limit. But I just think that was borderline cruel.

And... when do those fire tokens come into play?
