Not a bad idea to get that cake inside you just in case. If you are going out, go full of lemon cake!

In our house, a lemon cake has zero shelf life, that is, I've never seen one on the storage shelf. I've seen those on the kitchen counter and then they disappear.

You should always do a test of your emergency food supply. What if you were quarantined and found out the lemon cake was bad? Then what?

At an advanced age, I'm at serious risk of becoming defunct if I catch it, but I think that, while some serious precautions are indicated, the risks at present don't justify our emptying out the stores.

And as for masks, from what I hear, the common kind that we get when we enter the emergency room with a cough, aren't of much help, in any case: about as helpful as asking a cotton shirt to keep out the rain.

I made a single serving mug chocolate cake for myself last night, just so I didn't have an entire cake. I know I couldn't handle leaving it alone. Man, I wish I had a chocolate pudding cake. Lemon cake, and banana cake sound good too. MMm

My husband asked me why I have only used my new Kitchenaid mixer twice since early December. Because I don't need the temptation of things I bake.

Lemon cake --- mmm! I especially love lemon loaf where lemon zest is used in the batter and lemon juice and sugar are drizzled onto the baked cake. Sadly, I gain weight even thinking about my favorite lemon recipes! lol!

Hey, since everyone seems to think we're all gonna die soon anyway, why not just make a cake and eat it now?? If we get the virus we aren't going to feel like eating anything anyways. That's when I'm gonna hit the liquor cabinet and have not only one but 2 martinis. So what about the high triglycerides!

I bought a giant package of baked cheese balls (Utz) to put in the stash which was just delivered. I had never had them before so to make sure they were OK I opened the plastic container and tried some. Then tried some more....So delicious.

A lemon cake followed me home from Sam's. I'm blaming you, Lucille. ;)
