Good luck with the camera, Nicole! This week I happened upon an Adrianna Papell top on eBay for only $12. Very low for that designer, but I still wasn't inspired to jump on it, so I put it on my Watch List. The next morning I got an email saying the seller was offering me a 50% discount. So I accepted it. If I'd seen Adrianna Papell in a thrift store for 6 bucks I'd surely snatch it up! I received the top today, and it's lovely. This morning on Amazon I bought one of their Deals of the Day: a 25 oz. bag of Blue Diamond Wasabi and Tamari Roasted Almonds for $6.24--an excellent deal, although I might not get to eat them. I wanted to buy two bags and give one to my son and daughter-in-law, but Amazon limited the purchase to one bag. My daughter-in-law's pregnant, so I think that's where they'll go. :-)

I needed to replace the nearly-falling-apart cotton sheeting capris that I live in at home during the hot days - late in the season, so colors were limited, plus I wanted clearance prices. I finally googled the brand of one of the old ones (Erika) and came up with Boscov's - they actually also had a different brand, but pretty much identical, all cotton, and a couple of acceptable colors. Also had a 20% off coupon! even though shipping was a bit higher than I hoped - still, all told, I got 2 pair for $14 + change each. Capris Also I had a couple of good curb rescues: a George Kovacs ceiling pendant that was missing a globe (replaced from the local lighting store); a floor lamp that just needed a new socket, a table lamp that was perfect, and this Safavieh shag rug that needed a heavy cleaning - but turned out just fine! I'll probably sell the rug instead of donating since I had to put more than usual effort/time into it. Likewise the pendant - looks like it sells for $400-500 new - someone will get a bargain (my ceilings are too low in my small house to use it, too bad!)

They are all doing well. I rescued 3 dogs since the first of the year. This one weighed 4 lb at 4 months of age. She was almost dead. I have never had a happier little dog. Another was an orphan. Mama dog died when pups were 2 weeks old. She gave them away to various people. The woman who got this puppy didn't have time to bpttle feed it and was trying to get her to eat puppy chow. It wasn't working.... no surprise. I have raised a lot of animals on a bottle... not a big deal to me, so I offered to take it, and finished raising her. The third dog is a very old, small dog that someone dumped out. It was cold and no one took him, so I did.

I'm not a reseller but an opportunist taking advantage of a once in my life deal to get shop equipment I would never buy retail because the usage would never justify the expense. A multi billion dollar international company is downsizing their R&D department in my location closing the fabrication shop used to build prototypes designed by their team of engineers, and I just happen to know the guy tasked to get rid of a million dollars worth of equipment. The odd thing is corporate wants nothing to do with selling the stuff and local management could take it to the scrap yard for all they care. So the department head is giving some away to the employees and selling the stuff cheap for cash only with any money going into the departments "pizza fund". they only have 21 employee's and all are engineers with one boss. I'm just out to upgrade with better equipment in my 30' x 40' shop on the cheap so I'm only getting stuff I want to use with no desire to sell things. The extra drill bits I gave away was a deal where I had to take them all and couldn't cherry pick what i needed.
