Comments (12)There’s a restaurant near our city apartment which for about thirty years was home to a really excellent Thai restaurant. Last year they sold up (oh how we miss them!) and the place was taken over by an Indian vegetarian restaurant. I know Indian vegetarian food can be delicious (a workmate who is an Indian vegetarian brings food to share which she has made and it’s always a treat), but we tried this place and everything tasted like lightly spiced compost. Next thing we knew, it was replaced (no surprise) by another Indian restaurant, which had good reviews. We thought we’d try it, but when we looked last week it was closed for renovations (after just a few months?). Now it is in another incarnation, with a most unfortunate name, and one badly chosen.
