Christa; I was in the same situation -- so we're making our own. I am using two oval mirrors with frosted edges, following enduring's lead (have you seen her finished bath w/ backlit mirror?) and will mount them on two "platforms" so they will float off the wall, and then am wrapping the platforms with superbright LED's from inspired lighting.com. I am going w/ the brightest LED's possible on a dimmer. The BR gets ripped out Wednesday, and hopefully will be finished by the HS graduation party on the 2nd . . . . so I'll post pics then.

If you live in a city, check the yellow pages for glass and mirror stores. I window shopped the glass store which made my mirrored backsplashes in a kitchen redo, and this time I was looking for framed and unframed mirrors. I found the one I liked and it was with a big price reduction. Whether or not it is "funky" I haven't a clue. Also, some antique consignment shops have bevelled leaded glass and mirrors for any purpose, some long and skinny like door sidelights, others skinny like that but short. mike, yes it is a little bit hit or miss. You definitely want to start out with just a little bit of bleach, then add more if you desire. I found someone giving away 2 large mirrors for free. So, I was able to garbage one piece that I wasn't happy with and start over.

Roarah....I seriously considered medicine cabinets. We are using the Robern in the master and I'm excited as I have never had a medicine cabinet before. I hope I don't regret this decision. Hadn't even thought about the mess inside. Mostly dh's tbh. my boys are barely shaving and one is a terrible slob and I'm afraid it would be bad so ruled out the medicine cabinets for them. I think you are right. I like the oval better but the rectangle may be more appropriate than the oval. Thanks for the feedback.
