I wondered if something like this tribal rug would appeal to you. It has terracotta and turquoise in it but the base color is soft and warm. It goes with more modern or more traditional furniture, and you can use the colors in it for accessories, paintings etc. You can always look for something similar without the red color in it. I think some pattern and color in the rug would warm up your space and give it some glow and warmth. For drapes I would suggest a solid cream that's close to the color of your walls or a bit lighter.

It has taken me awhile to take pictures of my living room since I made some changes.
