Art and photo arrangement help please (pics)
Comments (4)Little pieces of advice: Whether you choose to change the frames or not, I would not place the smaller pics above the larger ones, because it becomes hard to see the faces. As Les wrote, you also just might have too many photos crowded in there, so much so that they get jumbled and in the end none of them has any real impact. Especially the photos that show just you and DH pretty much posing for the camera in front of a place--they might not look the same to you, but being of the same size and same "look," they blend together. I know you love all these photos, and they will be in a private space, but they just look too crowded. (You might also go back to all your photos and look for some that will remind you of the places themselves. Did you take a photo, say, of some really quirky thing you came across?) Then think about picking out some of the better pictures, enlarging them in 2 or 3 different sizes and reframing them. And then try a layout again. I'm not feeling the mirrors, either. To break up the photos, you might consider making a shadowbox that holds a few special mementos for you and DH. Maybe your dried bouquet? (if there was one) Or some tickets relating to your honeymoon. Or maybe if you saved the tickets to the first movie you saw together....See MoreHow low is too low to hang art? Check this pic!
Comments (18)Thanks guys for the compliments! I think the original photo that pammyfaye posted may be a little overwhelming because of the color. Although I like the overall composition it may not be to everyones liking. My staircase is full of family photo's, documents and city/state history. Also a few local artist B&W charcoal drawings. I collect old frames so I find old family stuff to put in them to hang in the staircase....See MoreWhere to hang art/photos on basement walls? pics
Comments (11)Ah! :) Then I suggest that you add small white shelves (stagger them on the wall) to the wall above the pub table -- and then add bits of large and small white coral to them! And then add a very large white seashell to your pretty mirrored table .... And perhaps add a vintage seaside travel poster to the wall to the left of the sectional .......See MoreWhere Do I put my tv and how should I arrange my living room? Help!!
Comments (5)Can you return it and get a smaller one? (I admit I think your fireplace wall is lovely and I personally wouldn't ruin it with a television. But I am a tiny minority who has lived without television for almost 30 years.) Is there another room in which to put it, or do you prefer to use this room for watching it?...See Morelindac92
